About

Where it started

I was born in 1973 in the midst of the Oil Energy crisis. It must have predestinated me to inspire, facilitate & organize at a high energy power level. In Leuven I graduated as master in Communications and was fortunate to start immediately at BBDO as an account manager.

In the early 2000's the internet started to boom & bang and I switched to start-ups who were at the cradle of online innovation. I joined Letsbuyit.com as Marketing manager and then moved to Planet Internet Media as sales & marketing manager.

After a short stint at VT4 (SBS) as New Media Manager I joined Bananas in 2003 where I spent most of my career as Client Service Director & later as General Manager. There I really got active taking care of Brands (with capital B) online as well as in the field.

How it evolved

Since I started MARKeTHING in 2009, I was fortunate to work on a wide variety of fascinating & challenging projects. They have led me on a great journey and a continuous growing path. Expanding my knowledge & management skills by collaborating with talented people in a wide variety of expertises: that's what returns the energy that I put in every one of the projects I worked on.

Thank you to Alken-Maes, Square Melon, TBWA, Wave Agency, and many more for the confidence in MARKeTHING. It's still a blast working for all of you.

2016 Was a key year: I started to work on a project for the National Basketball Federation: Basketball Belgium. One project became many more and got me in touch with the Pro Basketball League. They also involved me in putting my favorite sports on the map in Belgium & beyond. And the beyond part happened in 2020 as we started the BNXT League together with the Netherlands.

In that same year I started passing on some knowledge as a guest teacher at UCLL The University Campus Leuven Limburg to students in the Banaba (bachelor after bachelor) Business management.

Firm believer of uniting mindsets & complementary skills to boost efficiency and to achieve great results. My default setting is to always challenge the Status Quo and to look for growth in every opportunity.

Basically, I just have a thing for Marketing. So as Chief Everything Officer, I simply give my everything to do everything it takes. So get in touch,  the VAT (Value Adding Talks) will be included for free.
